Week 20, Weight Gain: 8lbs. 

As promised, I will share weekly updates as an expectant mother. I don’t know quite what to expect from this new adventure, but I am excited about the opportunity to share the journey. My goal is to inspire others through my pregnancy by doing everything in my control to deliver a healthy baby, remain fit as a mom, and recover postpartum to achieve my best fitness level yet.

This week baby girl and I hit a milestone! Twenty weeks down, and twenty weeks to go! I have to say that the first half of this pregnancy was pleasantly uneventful with no nausea, food aversions, and most importantly, no cravings. I didn’t start gaining weight until my second trimester, eight pounds so far. And, I haven’t felt baby girl’s kicks yet. However, a sudden cramp in my lower abdomen last night suggests she is making a little more room for herself.
